The Fowler's opened their home and patio to us for our choir social. It was a little hot but it was still good to get a chance to visit away from church. There was lots of good food and fellowship.

Weekend Getaway, June 23rd 2010
While the kiddos were at MeMa's. Roy whisked me away to Fort Payne, AL for a weekend of relaxation. It was so nice to have no television or computers, just each other.
Swimming with the Majors, May 31st 2010
Another beautiful summer day found us heading to our friends house to swim and have lunch. The kids had an awesome time playing together and it was really nice for Jennifer and I to have a chance to catch up on life.
Kids On Mission Performance, May 22nd
The kindergarten choir performed a few of the songs they had been working on this year. Lydia was so bashful, it was pretty cute!
After the kindergarten group performed, it was time for the big kids to give their performance.

Abigail's Birthday, May 19th 2010
I baked gluten-free cupcakes to take to the school for Abigail to share with her friends. Yummy Fun!
Abigail's Skating Party, May 14th 2010
Abigail celebrated her 9th birthday at the skating rink. She invited a few friends from church and school to celebrate with her. It was a lot of fun watching the girls skate around giggling and having fun together. They were so cute!
MeMa and PePa give Lydia a quick lesson in skating
A couple of us moms got on the rink with the girls for some fun
Pizza and cake time!
Mother/Daughter Princess Tea, May 14th 2010
The girls were so very excited to dress-up as princesses and have a tea party at the church. We were so excited that MeMa was able to come up and go with us. It was such fun to learn proper tea etiquette from Monica Roberts, be entertained by the awesome Jessi Lawson, and her a special word from Elodia Flynn. I would say the girls first tea was a success!
Spring Wreath, May 12th 2010
My friend Stephanie Hudman came over to help me make a wreath for the front door. I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself!
Mother's Day 2010
The kids were so excited to show me the gifts they had made at school and church. They were precious!
Logan's birthday party, May 7th 2010
Logan's birthday was celebrated a few weeks late so that he could have a lake party at Chester Frost State park. The kids swam in the lake, enjoyed the ice cream cake and played video games. Logan got lots of cool stuff too!
The day ended on a sour note when Tommy's mom's dog attacked Lydia's face. Lydia was pretty freaked out. She had played with the dog all day but no one had mentioned that her ears are sensitive to touch so when Lydia went to hug her good-bye, she attacked. Poor Lydia!
Roy's Graduate Reception, May 1st
To celebrate the completion of Roy's classes for his Master's degree, we had a reception at the house. About fifty friends and family came to celebrate with us. It was a good chance for all of us to relax and enjoy each other after the craziness of the past two years.
Our friend, Jennifer Major, made the cake for us. It was her first attempt at a gluten-free cake. I designed the cake and got an edible image made of one of Roy's favorite compositions. Ain't it perty?
Spring Planting, April 16th 2010
We spent the last two weekends cleaning out the flower beds and getting them ready for planting. We had to reset the stones in one area and it seemed like there was several years worth of weeds. It was hard work! It's finally done and the flowers are in the ground. Now, let's hope we can keep it this pretty.
